Send an Urgent Message to Your Senators Today!

Today more than 8 million children lack health coverage and millions more are underinsured in the richest nation on earth! Yet the House of Representatives has just passed a bill that would leave millions of children worse rather than better off after health reform. The same dangerous outcome looms in the Senate unless you become a Champion for Children's Health. Send an urgent message to your Senators today, demanding that all children must be better off after health reform by ensuring the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) is kept and strengthened in health reform legislation.

Urge your Senators to support the amendments Senator Casey will offer that will ensure real child health reform.

Four simple ways you can contact your Senators and be a Champion for Children's Health today!

1. Call Your Senators

Call your Senators and urge them to co-sponsor the Casey amendment when it is submitted and to vote for its passage.

  1. Visit www.congressmerge.com to find your Senators and their phone numbers.
  2. Call them and tell them:

Hi, my name is [your name] and I'm calling from [your city and state] to tell Senator [your Senator's name] to co-sponsor and support the children's amendment Senator Bob Casey will introduce in the health reform debate. The amendment will improve CHIP, protect millions of children from being worse off after health reform and is cost-effective for children, families and taxpayers. By supporting Senator Casey's amendment, we'll be building on what works.

2. Post a Message to Congress on Facebook

  1. Find your Senators from the list below. (Some may not have a Facebook Page.)
  2. Click on their name to go to their Facebook Page and become a Fan by clicking on the Facebook's Become a Fan button button at the top of their Page.
  3. Go to your Facebook page and post a message to your Senators by tagging them in the post. Here’s a sample post:
